Experience and Expertise
Pamela joined Baird in 2016 with over 4 decades of experience in the financial services industry. She began her career in 1976 as a secretary and worked her way up to Vice President of Private Wealth Management. Early in her career, she chose to make planning an integral part of her business earning the CFP ® certification in 1984 awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Incorporated. She has a passion for building long lasting relationships with her clients, striving to understand them on a deeper level so they can build a customized strategy that will help them attain their goals. She has broad expertise in investment management and retirement planning with a focus on planning at the core of each relationship.
Education and Professional Designations, Organizations, and Awards
Pamela graduated Field High School in 1976 and then started working with Bache & Company. She fell in love with the markets and the energy that surrounded the day to day activities at the office. She further pursued her education by attaining her FINRA Series 7, 31, & 66 securities licenses as well as insurance and annuity licenses.
She was awarded the YMCA Youth Service Award in 2009 as a result of her dedication to Akron area young people. In 2009, she was awarded the Ambassador of Service Award for the Wayne Homes Chili Open raising money for the Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs. In 2017, Pam was named as a “Woman of Professional Excellence” by the Women’s Network.
Family and Community
When Pam is not in the office, she is committed to helping her community. She has been actively involved in numerous organizations throughout her career. Pam has been a member of the Rotary Club of Akron for 30 years, joining as one of the first female members and was their first female President in 1995. She is the immediate Past President of the Board of Directors for the Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs and a current Board Member. She is also Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Endowment Fund an affiliate fund of the Akron Community Foundation. She is a Class VIII graduate of the Leadership Akron Program and is active in their Alumni Association. She has been a ‘model” in the Goodwill’s Annual Dinner that supports a Vintage Fashion Show for many years. She is a lifetime member of Athena International and Athena Akron. Pam enjoys golfing as a member of the Akron/Canton Chapter of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association. Last but not least, she is the Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop #45 in Hartville. In her free time, Pam enjoys riding her motorcycle, playing golf, gardening and photography.
